Close to farmland and nestled in the trees, our family cottage has a south facing front porch, 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms (claw foot tub, no shower) and powder room, living and dining area, with a large covered deck facing a lovely, northwest view of the lake and beautiful sunsets. The call of the loons will echo in the evening as you relax on the deck with dinner, or you can watch the hummingbirds in the morning, sipping your coffee or tea. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, pots, pans, dishware, utensils and coffee maker. Staples, condiments, linens and towls along with a tabletop Weber BBQ on the deck, are available for your use. For your entertainment, there's a dart board, Scrabble, Chess and other games, cards, books, jig saw puzzles, and other ways to unplug and relax. We have a CD player and a wide range of music, a small TV (27 inch) and DVD's for your viewing pleasure. You can get cell reception outside, and in some locations inside, but it can be spotty indoors. There is WiFi service but no streaming capacity. You can do a little stargazing at night too! There are country lanes in and around the lake area, and hiking areas in Wakefield and Chelsea as they border on Gatineau Park.
