Swimming, kayaking, hanging out on the dock, board games, campfires, reading and no TV? If that's what you're looking for, this is your cottage. Lac Bernard is a beautiful lake, with many bays and islands to explore, and only 40 mins from downtown Ottawa. The cottage is situated on a point and southern facing, taking advantage of the sun all day long. The water is steps away, with a beautiful dock, floating raft and lily pad (floating pad) for the kids. There is also a canoe, aluminum boat, several kayaks and a paddleboat. The main cottage is a cozy open concept 1950's log building with a kitchen, dining area, living room, 2 bedrooms + loft, and bathroom (no indoor bath/shower), as well as a separate bunkie for the kids to escape to. As the cottage is situated on a point, you have fantastic views of the water on 3 sides. The cottage is also at the lake level, so access to the water is very easy. There are lots of comfortable beds to sleep up to eight (8) people. Running water comes from the lake for the sinks, as well as a modern zero maintenance composting toilet. There is no indoor bathtub or shower, but there is an outdoor enclosed shower with hot and cold water. Enjoy the sunsets and evening campfires overlooking the water.
