Screened-in gazebo, upper balcony, large deck, large treed-in private flat lot on waterfront, private sandy beach, large front and rear yards, satellite tv in living room with dvd player, complimentary dvd library, and great hiking trails. Gorgeous views from kitchen and living room, and the bedroom windows face the rear lot therefore assuring tranquil mornings with no noises other than bird songs. The Parent Retreat is located about 100km from downtown Ottawa, and is approximately one hour and thirty minutes drive. The cottage is located on Cayamant lake, near the town of Gracefield, on a large flat sandy property, at the water level (no hikes up and down steep hills to get to the water). Local attractions include water sports (water-skiing, tubing, boating, sea-doos, fishing, etc.) however you must provide your own equipment. The lake is very clean and offers excellent swimming, as well as excellent fishing. Visit the store "Matthews-Brousseau" in the village for a fishing map of the lake, which highlights all the best spots, where various breeds of fish are located. The staff are also very knowledgeable about local fishing and sell an abundance of tackle, worms, and other fishing gear.
