Dogs okay, Cats okay is a scam most of the time.
One way of checking them is to hi-light the text (hold down left button on your mouse and then drag it across the text), then right click on the hi-lighted text and press search with Google. If it's phony you will find the text used usually in legitimate ads of condo's for sale.
After you have determined that, flag it so it will be removed.
*This tip suggested by MK. Don't ever give physical cash as a deposit. Sending an e-transfer is good, or some way that leaves a record of who received it works as well, in case it's a scammer who then disappears!*
